| Short description: | Decision on English-medium education in Zambia |
| Medium description: | Cabinet decision on English-medium education in Zambia resulted in the setting up of an "English Medium Centre" which was directed by a "British Aid to Commonwealth English" officer and had the remit of producing an English-medium primary course.
The original idea was to adapt the "New Peak Course", a course developed for Kenya. However, before the adaptation progressed far, a report on "New Peak Course" was published showing it to be a failure. As a result it was decided to produce a new course specifically for Zambia. |
